We work with some of the most exciting businesses in the UK and around the world supporting senior decision makers in navigating through changing markets, evolving technologies and major strategic investments.

By joining us as an experienced consultant you may have worked previously in a top tier professional services, corporate or banking environment and are looking to move your career to the next level. A move into professional financial modelling will provide direct exposure to the C-Suite of listed companies, private equity and M&A with you working on the central financial modelling and data analysis upon which the most critical decisions are made.

What you will be doing

Depending on your experience you may join our team at various levels. Working in our team we will invest heavily in you to help you quickly gain the skills required to deliver high pressured and increasingly complex financial modelling outputs to the highest possible standards. Your career with us can go as far as your ambition takes you and in any direction.

Our models are typically built in MS Excel and can involve complex and technically refined mathematical and financial calculations. We also provide impactful data visualisation tools and processes where clients need to manage and take advantage of large amounts of data or develop bespoke code to provide automations that create significant efficiencies or overcome operational limitations.

In order to successfully deliver bespoke solutions that meet each clients unique requirements you will need strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders and experts in various areas. You will also need to work well within our team at all levels to deliver outputs at a high standard.

Typical tasks:

Required Qualifications

Professional Experience

Previous experience in investment banking, consulting (big four / BMB), private equity or corporate finance / M&A

Minimum 2:1 Degree

STEM, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Similar Academic Discipline

A*A*A - ABB at A Level

Preferably consisting of 1 or more STEM, Finance or Business Related Subjects (if applicable)

Grade 6+ GCSE in Maths

Numeracy skills will be covered further in our Assessment Tests

Basic Computer Skills

Proficiency in Excel, Power Point & Word will be required and assessed.

Additional Desirable Skills

Data Analysis or Coding Skills in any language such as VBA, SQL, C# or Python

Typically applicants will come from a big 4 or banking background or from a senior finance position in a highly respected corporate. It is advantagous to hold a degree or higher in a highly numerate or business focused discipline or a finance related professional qualification such as the CA or CFA. We will however consider every applicant on their individual merit and their own unique case for joining our team.

Apply by submitting your CV and cover letter. Your profile will then be reviewed and if successful you will be invited to take our 3 stage assessment process which consists of the following:

  1. Excel proficiency test (1 hour) - testing your skills and knowledge of excel with a standard timed exam;
  2. Financial model build case study (1 week) - build and submit a financial model that comprehensively demonstrates your standard;
  3. Director interview (1 hour) and lunch - 30 mins to present and discuss your model + 30 mins general interview;

If you have been successful in your assessment process you will typically be given a job offer within 1 week of your interview date.
